- Lawrence Castle who is a final year BSc (Honours) Agriculture student studying at Harper Adams University. Lawrence is investigating the current state of drainage in the UK for his individual Honours Research Project
Since the end of grants for land drainage in the 1980s, there has been a decline in research and data relating to drainage in the UK. The aim of this project is to collect information and data on the effectiveness of existing systems, the current level of maintenance work, and factors influencing the installation of new and remedial drainage schemes.
“I have created a questionnaire aimed at UK farmers to gather data on existing systems, current issues with drainage, new systems, and maintenance work and would be extremely grateful if you could take no more than ten minutes to complete it.”
If you have any questions or concerns about the study, please do not hesitate to contact Lawurence at 19031800@live.harper.ac.uk.
To participate in the questionnaire, you must be a farmer or farm manager in the UK and over 18 years old.
