CTF Europe

Controlled Traffic Farming across Europe

As far as we know, Controlled Traffic Farming (CTF) was first introduced into the UK in 2004, when Unilever offered a field on their research farm at Colworth in Bedfordshire as a demonstration site.

John Deere and Dale Drills kindly offered equipment to make the demonstration possible and a small farmer-focus group was set up to oversee and comment on the project. Interest soon grew and in 2007, a membership group was set up to generate funds to hold meetings, workshops and conferences.

Many farmers soon adopted the system and opened their farms for visits and workshops as well as forming the basis of Case Studies.

The Member pages below provide links to the numerous Case Studies, Reports on events and occasional research reports.
